Welcome to the final workshop in our year long exploration of nature, the seasons, Earth based wisdom and seasonal living!

Each month we will meet on or near the Sabbat (celebration) on the Wheel of the Year.

There are 8 Sabbats - some you may know about, some you may know by a different name, and some you may not be aware of.

Choose to join just a few, or join for the whole year and this will see you compile your very own seasonal living book / diary / journal.

December brings us Yule, often know as Winter Solstice, just a few days before Christmas.

Yule typically starts on December 21, 2025, coinciding with the Winter Solstice, and traditionally lasts for 12 days, ending on January 1, 2026.

Yule and the Winter Solstice are closely connected but not exactly the same.

Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, symbolizing the return of light as days begin to grow longer.

Yule, an ancient festival rooted in pagan and Germanic traditions, celebrates this turning point. While it often coincides with the Winter Solstice, it can extend for multiple days as a season of light, joy, and reflection.

Yule symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and hope. Spiritually, it celebrates the return of the sun and the victory of light over darkness.

What to expect:

• Info about the wheel of the year and Sabbat itself.

• Embodied, explorative movement.

• Slow flow and Yin Yoga.

• Mindful Meditation.

• Journaling / scrapbooking.

• Create your own Yule star decoration.

This will be a special evening of honouring the return of light, welcoming balance of light and dark, and a time to rest and recouperate..
